About SEENL
South East European National Librarians Conference is network of National Library directors and senior representatives from countries within the South East European region.
Often referred to as SEENL or the Annual General Meeting of the South-East European National Library Directors, this network serves as a crucial forum for fostering collaboration, sharing expertise, and discussing common challenges and advancements in library services specific to the region. Participants engage in dialogue on strategic priorities, best practices in areas such as digitization, preservation, user services (including accessibility, which was the theme of their 2024 meeting in Ankara), and strengthening regional cooperation. The conference convenes annually, typically rotating hosting responsibilities among member libraries, thereby reinforcing professional ties and promoting collective development across the national libraries involved.
